OUT NOW!

“A story of redemption that wrestles with the tensions of life and faith with honesty and grace.”

Kia Ora, I’m Iain.

I’m a retired Anglican priest and an author of books that explore the nexus of faith and life - in all of its glorious messiness!

I think of this website as an online bookshelf where I share the books I’ve written with others. If you were a guest in my home, I’d offer you a cuppa while you browse to see if there’s a book that calls to you. Perhaps it has gifts for your journey. Please browse my books here in that same spirit of hospitality.

Why do I write? I write because I must. I write because sometimes depression crucifies me and I can no longer speak. I write so others may know that Grace is the most beautiful word in the English language.

I write as a novice, learning a new vocation.

Rev. Iain Gow

COMING 2025

WHEN EVERYTHING TURNS TO CUSTARD

This upcoming book offers a collection of scriptural reflections for those who find it hard to believe that God has not abandoned them when a crisis hits. By developing a theology of hope, Rev Iain Gow provides spiritual insights into healing, wholeness and well-being.

The seeds of our growing humanity often germinate in the trials of our lives if we open ourselves to God during those times. If we do this then, paradoxically, we may well discover a newer and fuller life than we ever knew before.
